Counselling

My aim is to help you to examine and explore what’s going on in your life, helping you to make sense of things and thoughts that are troubling you, that you might not feel able to share with others.

I believe that the best way of working is simply to listen to you, reflect back your thoughts and help you find a way forward that works for you.

This often includes using recognised patterns and models of human behaviour to help you better understand and manage the situation, but these are tailored to your needs, and take into account that these needs may change over time.

The key to a successful counselling relationship is your commitment to working alongside me. I’m not here to psychoanalyse you, I don’t wear a white coat or set out to tell you what you’re thinking! I will offer insights, tools and techniques from time to time, and regularly check in with you to ensure that these are as helpful and accurate as possible.
